The Swedish company Westermo is acquired by Beijer Electronics.
Today,
December 20, 2007, Beijer Electronics announced the strategic acquisition of
the Swedish company Westermo.
Westermo develops and manufactures
industrial data communications products, such as switches, routers, fiber optic modems and
modems for local networks as well as for wireless communication, and has a
leading-edge competence in industrial applications.

acquisition of Westermo is a strategically important step in the continuing
development of the Beijer Electronics group. Westermo’s broad product portfolio
and high organic growth complement and strengthen Beijer Electronics’ offer
within industrial automation and infrastructure applications”, says Göran
